Chris has been invited to run a series of Poetry Workshops for MIND Coventry funded by Poetry-on-Loan run for clients from the drop-in centre.

Chris was commissioned to write for Poetry-on-Loan and her poem My Open Smile was published by them and produced on post card and is available at libraries throughout the West Midlands.

Chris Hoskins poem ‘A Stranger’s Place’ has been commended by the judges in this years Aesthetica Creative Works Competition. The commendation was awarded by the judges from over 4000 entries internationally.

Chris was the winner of the Lyme Regis radio Haiku writing competition.

One of Chris’s songs composed for Round singing Can you see the New Moon Rising was accepted for publication this Spring through NVPN.

One of Chris’s short stories, Falling from Grace, along with others, was adapted for a stage play The last Gasp and was staged for two nights in London by the theatre company Cockandbull productions. Merton Abbey Mills Events

Winner of the Amnesty International Poetry competition (Birmingham) in support of their campaign to raise awareness of and stop violence towards women. The poem is published by Amnesty International.

Selected by BBC R4 to take part in their regional master class EarCandy that culminated in an evening performance at MAC. Producer Emma Thomas from BBC R4 facilitated the day which was funded by the BBC.

Ran and co-ordinated ‘Pass the Poem’ a project run as part of Coventry Peace month. Winner of the Hertfordshire Poetry Competition The winning poem Loose Change was displayed on all the public transport

Winner of the BBC Radio Bedfordshire Poetry Competition Winning poem The Peacock read on Radio and published by them.

Invited Poet in Residence for twelve months at a Psychiatric hospital in Hertfordshirewith a group of patients who had been the subject of a Channel 4 documentary ‘Out of their Minds’. My brief was to carry the group forward following this venture. A booklet of poetry ‘Swings and Roundabouts’ was produced at the end of the residency.
