No Strings

No Strings are an all woman (at present) A’cappella Harmony groups that evolved from Singing for the Terrified. For more about a’cappella singing see One Voice

It is almost exactly a year ago that I ran a One Day singing workshop for Singing for the Terrified and the people who came showed an interest in forming a regular group. Since then we have been developing as a group and finding our way as to how the group would like to work, so rather than meet every week, we only meet every other week, but when we do meet we work really hard, but we also have a lot of fun too!! (We’ve even sung for a lovely puppy who works with the blind!!)
This is borne out in the fact that this group although terrified a while ago, everyone felt confident enough to sing for friends and family at Christmas and are also joining One Voice to perform at a concert in May. Please see dates for your diary.
As No Strings and One Voice sing a similar repertoire they will sing several songs together too. That’s an amazing achievement in a short period of time! Each person has made a tremendous commitment to the group purely for the love of singing, but more than that though I believe we support one another as a group and also have a great time!!

However, because No Strings are a women’s a’cappella group, we choose repertoire suitable for women’s voices only and this allows us the opportunity to sing some gentler, sweeter and more flowing songs and No Strings do them great justice.

People are still joining us, so if you’d like to come along, then please DO get in touch!!! NO experience needed, NO need to be able to read music as all songs are taught by ear and EVERYONE is welcome! EVERYONE.
We look forward to welcoming YOU.

You can hear one or two sound clips of No Strings below. Enjoy!!

These recordings were taken at one of our regular rehearsals. They're a taster of what you can hear in live performance!

Give me a clean heart
